Lead ICT Infrastructure Delivery for a Connected, Future‑Focused University.

As part of the Digital Services Directorate, the Enterprise Client Services business unit delivers critical ICT infrastructure and services that enable CQUniversity’s operations and long-term strategic vision.

We are seeking a confident and capable individual to provide leadership across a portfolio of ICT infrastructure initiatives. In this role, you will act as the single point of accountability for assigned projects, providing clear direction, governance oversight, and leadership to project teams and stakeholders across the University.

A key feature of this role is partnering closely with the Facilities Management Directorate, contributing to integrated infrastructure initiatives that support CQUniversity’s Campus of the Future vision. You will bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach to balancing technical requirements, risk, compliance, and business outcomes.

Position Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualifications (or progress toward them) combined with extensive relevant experience; or extensive project management experience; or an equivalent mix of relevant experience and/or education.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering ICT infrastructure projects, including contract administration and procurement, with proven ability to manage small to medium ICT projects across the full lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with strong judgement and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to prepare project plans, RFQs and documentation, apply sound judgement to resolve issues, and maintain performance under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Project Management certifications) (Desirable).
