Position Overview
Rider University invites applications for the position of Director of Clinical Internships. Reporting directly to the Dean of the College of Education and Human Services, this individual will provide leadership and support in managing field placements, certification, CACREP accreditation, professional development, and special events for programs in Counseling, School Psychology, and Dance Therapy.
Specifically, the individual will be responsible for:
- Securing placements for students and visiting partner sites to discuss program requirements and inspect for student placements;
- Tracking and maintaining documentation for CACREP and CAEP accreditation;
- Maintaining databases and records for self-study and submitting annual reports to CACREP;
- Coordinating student evaluations of internship/practicum sites;
- Planning and hosting student orientations, professional development events, and partnership meetings; and
- Supporting projects and managing event logistics each semester.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or a counseling related field preferred.
- Experience securing clinical placements and managing accreditation standards.
- Experience securing placements in teaching will be considered
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Technological proficiency, including MS Office and Google Apps.
- Familiarity with Canvas and assessment platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work independently and collaboratively.
- Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
