Director of Graduate Marketing and Communications
Xavier University’s Office of Marketing and Communications seeks applications for a motivated, forward-thinking Director of Graduate Marketing and Communications. The Director will spearhead the development and execution of targeted marketing strategies aimed at achieving the University’s graduate enrollment goals. This role will manage various channels, including print, email, digital marketing campaigns, and events, and collaborate with graduate recruiters, faculty, and other key constituents to craft a cohesive plan for recruiting and engaging graduate students. Additionally, this position will support other initiatives as directed by the Executive Director of Marketing and Enrollment Strategy.
Candidates should possess a positive attitude, ability to work in a collaborative team, and passion for enrollment marketing, with experience in creating and managing comprehensive marketing campaigns. The Office strives to maintain high brand quality and consistency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage projects and act as the primary liaison for graduate enrollment and marketing initiatives.
- Drive efforts to collect data, analyze insights, and inform strategies.
- Partner with academic units to implement recruitment plans based on metrics and best practices.
- Promote communication among program leaders and Enrollment Management.
- Introduce shared resources to enhance efficiency and support enrollment goals.
- Represent graduate units in institution-wide initiatives.
- Oversee budgets for graduate marketing.
- Provide leadership with updates on trends and opportunities.
- Supervise an enrollment content strategist for email communications.
- Collaborate with enrollment leaders to align efforts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong project management expertise.
- Experience in digital marketing campaigns.
- Background in higher education marketing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with project and content management systems.
- Ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of CRM platforms like Slate.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years in marketing and communications, with some in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree.
- Ability to support diverse academic programs.
- Experience managing digital campaigns.
- Success in cross-department collaboration.
- 5+ years in university project management.
- Familiarity with Slate CRM and recruitment strategies.
- Prior supervisory experience.
