Summary

The Director provides strategic leadership for capital construction, renovation, and space planning initiatives, ensuring alignment with UCCS's mission, design standards, sustainability goals, and long-term campus master plan. Responsibilities include leading a team, managing projects, and overseeing budgets.

Essential Functions

• Strategic Planning & Leadership: Lead campus master plan, prepare capital project documents, and collaborate with senior leadership.
• Project & Construction Management: Oversee all phases of capital projects, including budgeting, design, procurement, and closeout.
• Design Oversight & Campus Architecture: Work with the Office of State Architecture, serve as Campus Architect, and ensure ADA compliance.
• Space Planning & Utilization Reporting: Manage space utilization data and prepare reports.
• Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Supervise staff, foster accountability, and represent the university on relevant matters.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in construction. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, licensure, and experience in higher education.
