Director of Recruitment and Community Engagement
Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Director of Recruitment and Community Engagement. The Director of Recruitment and Community Engagement for the College of Education will work to recruit undergraduate and graduate students, maintain partnerships and establish new partnerships, and build a recruitment pipeline with K-12 school districts.

Responsibilities
- The Director of Recruitment and Community Engagement for the College of Education will be responsible for strategic direction of all recruitment and community engagement activities across the college, including the following: (1) participation in the development, management, assessment of, and reporting for the five-year recruitment plan; (2) management of large-scale events that connect prospective students with faculty, current students, and alumni; (3) design and coordination COE recruitment events;(4) working cross-functionally with Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions to promote the COE across the state; (5) organizing community outreach events to promote teaching as a profession; and (6) the production of an annual report available to all stakeholders summarizing and analyzing each year's activities and forecasting upcoming trends.
- Work with districts across Georgia to establish new pipeline programs and maintain current programming that target high school students, transfer students, and career-changers interested in teaching. Coordinate recruitment pipelines such as dual enrollment, "grow your own," CTAE pathways, and paraprofessional-to-teacher pathways.
- Serve as the program coordinator for existing COE summer programs as well as develop and implement new summer pipeline programs, to include seeking and managing grants and other funding, facilitating the hiring and onboarding of needed personnel, participating in program review and assessment, and providing on-site support.
- Cultivate relationships with local, regional, and state K-12 school districts, community organizations, civic groups, and other stakeholders. Serve as a liaison between the university and community partners, fostering partnerships that enhance visibility and access for the COE.
- Steward the updating of recruitment materials for COE programs, to include creating and managing Slate communications, and manage social media accounts. Produce a quarterly newsletter to be sent to external stakeholders promoting the work of the COE. Use storytelling to highlight student success, program strengths, community impact.
- Management of personnel, including summer program employees and recruitment support personnel.
- Work with the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Community Engagement on grant seeking and fundraising initiatives as related to community partnerships and engagement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent spoken/written communication skills and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree is required
- Minimum of five years of successful experience in education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ed.S. or doctorate preferred
- Some successful experience in higher education preferred.
