Northern State University seeks a strategic and detail-oriented leader to oversee its sponsored programs. The Director will manage all aspects of grant activity, including preaward, post-award, and compliance functions, while supporting faculty and staff in securing external funding.

This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify funding opportunities and assist with proposal development
• Oversee grant setup, financial reporting, and closeout
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and export control laws
• Lead institution-wide grant initiatives and promote research culture

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
• 5-10 years of experience in sponsored programs or research accounting
• Strong knowledge of federal grant regulations (e.g., NIH, NSF, DOE)
• Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
