Job Description

This position covers two roles. The individual in this role will serve as the Director of the Math Center and as Director of Operations and Support for the College of Arts & Sciences.

The Director of the Math Center is responsible for the leadership and administration of the Math Center, ensuring its effective operation and providing support for students and faculty for math and math intensive courses. This role requires strong academic, administrative, and leadership skills and a passion for fostering student success and facilitating academic growth in math.

In addition to responsibilities related to the Math Center, this position will also serve as Director of Operations and Support for A&S. In this role, the person will provide operational leadership and administrative support for curricular, programmatic, and scheduling functions across the College of Arts & Sciences, ensuring effective coordination, compliance, and support for academic initiatives.

This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Position Responsibilities:

• Oversee the running and promotion of the Math Center
• Provide individual tutoring support and supervise student tutors
• Supervise student tutors
• Liaison with Math and other STEM departments to support math-related learning
• Establish metrics and assessment tools to measure the effectiveness and impact of the Math Center
• Provide operational leadership and administrative support for new curricular initiatives for A&S
• Oversee administrative operations for the MS in Clinical Psychology program
• Coordinate operational support and oversight for high-impact service courses and emerging programs
• Lead scheduling and curricular coordination systems for A&S

Job Requirements:

• A graduate degree in mathematics.
• Experience teaching or tutoring foundational or entry-level college math courses
• Strong understanding of the academic needs of students in mathematics.
• Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Strong, demonstrated project management skills
