Early Childhood Studies Instructor (Part-Time Faculty Pool)
Ohlone College is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for temporary part-time teaching assignments in Early Childhood Studies. Assignments may include day, evening, and weekend courses, and may be in-person, online, or hybrid.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach Early Childhood Studies according to established course outlines.
- Evaluate student work using clear criteria and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain and submit accurate records such as grades, syllabi, and attendance reports.
- Create an equity-based and welcoming classroom environment.
- Perform duties as described in Board policy, faculty contract, and Faculty Handbook at designated locations.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's in child development, early childhood education, human development, home economics/family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development/early childhood education, or educational psychology with a specialization in child development/early childhood education; OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in social work, educational supervision, elementary education, special education, psychology, bilingual/bicultural education, life management/home economics, family life studies, or family and consumer studies; OR the equivalent. Additionally, commitment to equity, anti-racism, and serving diverse students, with evidence of understanding multicultural environments.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Teaching experience at the community college level.
- Experience using innovative teaching methods for student engagement.
- Creating socially conscious syllabi and inclusive practices.
- Addressing equity issues and working with minoritized students.
- Use of computer technology and course management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
