"Education Recruiter"

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serves as the recruiter for the Cato College of Education teacher licensure programs and graduate (master's and doctoral) programs
• Oversees the Office of Recruitment in the Cato College of Education
• Tracks data on recruitment attendance and enrollment in Cato College of Education programs
• Manages the student workers in the Office of Recruitment
• Organizes recruitment events for undergraduate and graduate programs

Minimum Experience / Education:

A master's degree and holds or can obtain a North Carolina teaching license. The license should be obtained within 1 year of the start date. A person with a baccalaureate degree, graduate coursework (current enrollment in a master's level program), and at least two years of relevant work experience (higher education teaching or advising experience) may be considered.

Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

• Candidates must have classroom teaching experience in a P-12 setting, computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, and University information systems, preferably Banner),
• A record of success in working with minimal supervision, as well as experience in working with unique organizations and people.
• Must be able to work with a wide range of students as well as with detailed paperwork.
• The preferred candidate will have background experiences in more than one of the following areas: administrative or professional advising, public school, community college, and/or University employment, and program recruitment.
