We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Education Support Lead to support the delivery of all programs of study within the Sydney Nursing School.
In this role, you will lead a School Education Support Team and oversee the delivery of high-quality operational and administrative support for teaching, curriculum and student activities. Drawing on your extensive education administration experience, you will manage complex processes, support academic stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across education services.
This position requires on-site attendance for a minimum of four days per week. Hybrid working arrangements may be discussed with the hiring manager.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- lead, plan and manage the work of the School Education Support Team, providing effective supervision, coaching, feedback and performance management to build a high-performing and engaged team
- coordinate and deliver operational support for teaching activities, including the management of assessments and examinations in line with faculty and university requirements
- oversee complex timetabling and scheduling activities, including logistical coordination and clear communication with students, academic staff and key stakeholders
- provide high-level administrative and operational support to Manager, Education Support, and Academic Leaders in Education, building strong and collaborative relationships with academics and professional staff
- manage staff performance and development, ensuring annual performance and development reviews are completed and appropriate professional development opportunities are supported
- contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance education services and course delivery
- support the effective implementation of faculty and university policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- proactively identify operational challenges and implement practical, service-focused solutions
About you
- demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring and managing staff, including performance management and staff development
- experience delivering high-quality education support services within a complex organisation, ideally in a tertiary or health environment
- strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- experience working with Learning Management Systems and an understanding of timetabling and scheduling student activities
- advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and the ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency and service delivery
- experience troubleshooting AV and IT issues, with proficiency in Zoom and Microsoft Teams
- excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a strong client service focus and the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- the ability to work independently and collaboratively while exercising initiative, sound judgement and operational agility
- demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
- knowledge of university administrative processes, policies and procedures within a tertiary education environment
- the ability and willingness to move across campus regularly to provide hands-on support for teaching activities and stakeholder needs
