"EKG Technician-Cardiology Lab - Irvine-FT-Variable"

Incumbent performs electrocardiograms, Holter monitor testing / scanning, and data management. This position requires traveling between all cardiology off-site clinics where procedures are being performed.

Required Qualifications: Understanding of medical terminology, infectious control techniques, and age-related acuity levels. Must have a certificate of completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia class. Knowledge of complex cardiac arrhythmias. At least one year experience in an acute care setting. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of Title 22 and JCAHO standards. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese. Ability to instruct others in the use of equipment and performance of procedures.

Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support.
