"EMT Basic Lab Instructor(s) - Martha's Vineyard - Cape Cod Community College"

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide lab instruction for EMT Basic (EMS101) course on Martha's Vineyard.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

1. Assist the Instructor Coordinator with course lectures and practical labs.
2. Assist with course make-up and review sessions.
3. Assist with additional EMT and/or Paramedic class needs and preparation.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate degree.
2. Current EMT or Paramedic Certification.
3. Ability to perform all skills associated with the course correctly, efficiently, and with proficiency.
4. CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NAEMT Instructor certifications.
5. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Professional development in teaching at the community college level.
2. Experience using evidence-based strategies to support student success including frequent communication and active learning.
3. Teaching experience using learning systems to support and improve instruction.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION: $62.48 per hour, 18 hours per week. Part-time, non-benefited MCCC Unit position.
