This position is responsible for supporting and advancing the College's administrative and academic technology systems. Working within the Information Research & Technology (IRT) department, this position is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting enterprise-level applications that support student services, academic programs, finance, human resources, and institutional operations.

Key responsibilities include analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, configuring applications, creating system reports, managing security, employee onboarding, and supporting software upgrades and new implementations. The Analyst also assists with user training, provides tier-two support, and contributes to projects aimed at improving system performance and user experience.

Physical Demands
The job responsibilities are performed in an office area and presentation venues. Travel by car required. The job has intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as independent mobility between work areas, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward (8 - 45 pounds). Typically requires regular use of one or more physical senses of medium intensity and long duration. Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy, and may be involved in some mildly unpleasant situations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university and at least four (4+) years of related experience OR bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university and two or more (2+) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with relational database systems in a production environment, including SQL query development.
  • One (1) year of related experience, such as programming, project management, and/or troubleshooting.

Preferred but not Required

  • Experience with applications used in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with web integration and scripting tools such as JSON, XML, SOAP, and ETL tools (e.g., Ellucian Data Connect).

Proposed Salary

According to the Kellogg Community College Hay Administrative Compensation program, the 2025-2026 annual salary range for a Manager 1 position is $63,276 to $79,098.

Job Duties

Essential Function: Enterprise Application Support

  • Maintain, administer, and support core enterprise applications, both on premise and SaaS hosted, to ensure reliability, data integrity, and alignment with institutional needs.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues; coordinate with vendors and technical teams to implement solutions and minimize disruptions.

Essential Function: System Configuration and Enhancements

  • Configure, customize, and test applications, ensuring they meet functional needs and are kept current with upgrades, patches, and system improvements, while supporting application security and compliance.

Essential Function: Database and Integration Support

  • Support the integration of enterprise applications with other systems and platforms through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), data connectors, and middleware tools.

Essential Function: User Support, Training, and Documentation

  • Provide Tier Two technical support to end users of the institutional ERP.
  • Create, coordinate, conduct, and/or facilitate training sessions.
  • Create and maintain system and process documentation to enhance user understanding and system adoption.
  • As part of the change management process, create and maintain historical data and documentation of process changes.
