Executive Assistant (EA), Vice President, Community Engagement
Job Summary
The Executive Assistant (EA), Vice President, Community Engagement plays a pivotal role in providing confidential executive support and strategic operational oversight within the Community Engagement portfolio. This position requires exceptional professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy to effectively manage sensitive information and respond to complex and often urgent matters at the institutional and community level. Responsible for diversified and confidential administrative duties, this role requires broad and comprehensive experience and knowledge of organizational policies and practices.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with influence and discretion.
- Superior organizational and project management skills; ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience handling confidential information with integrity and sound judgement.
- Strategic problem-solving ability and capacity to anticipate needs and outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with collaboration and project management tools is an asset.
- Demonstrated excellence in governance support, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, transcription, and document drafting.
- Proven experience supporting executive leadership and collaborating across departments.
- Familiarity with legal contracts, procurement processes, and policy compliance in a post-secondary setting.
- Strong working knowledge of governance structures, academic and administrative operations, and university procedures.
