Experiential Learning Coordinator

The Experiential Learning Coordinator supports the design, coordination, and implementation of experiential learning and mentoring programs that promote student career readiness and development. This role plays a key part in advancing initiatives such as the Skills Infusion Program, Spartan Connections, and the Career Professional Mentoring Program by leading faculty workshops, coordinating mentor-mentee engagement, and aligning student employment experiences with NACE career readiness competencies. The coordinator provides critical administrative and logistical support, maintains program toolkits and learning platforms, and assists with the collection and analysis of assessment data to evaluate program outcomes.

Essential Job Functions:

Program Coordination and Support

  • Coordinate and lead workshops for the Skills Infusion Program to help faculty integrate NACE competencies into course assignments and support staff in aligning on-campus student employment with career readiness goals.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for a variety of experiential learning initiatives, including the Skills Infusion Program, Spartan Connections, Career Professional Mentoring Program, Career Treks, and a Job Shadow program.
  • Help implement and maintain mentoring programs by coordinating mentor-mentee matching, tracking participation, and supporting engagement efforts.
  • Maintain program resources and toolkits to ensure consistency in application and ease of access for campus stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics for student employer site visits, ensuring student participation and university travel policies are followed.
  • Update Brightspace Learning pages for programs and capture learning outcomes relating to the mentoring programs.
  • Maintain partnership with the Financial Empowerment Center to expand access to financial literacy resources and support services for students.

Assessment and Evaluation

  • Support the development and implementation of assessment tools (e.g., surveys, feedback forms) to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data related to student learning outcomes, program participation, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Contribute to the preparation of regular reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Serve as a resource for faculty, staff, students, and partners engaged in experiential learning and mentoring programs.
  • Plan and implement promotional efforts using email, newsletters, websites, and social media in coordination with the Marketing Director of Student Success.
  • Collaborate with other university departments to ensure alignment with broader institutional goals.

Event Planning and Administrative Support

  • Manage the logistics for workshops, training sessions, and other events, including scheduling venues, preparing materials, and managing participant communications.
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities and participation.
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, managing shared calendars, and maintaining files.

Professional Development and Other Duties

  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in experiential learning, mentoring, and workforce readiness.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the department and university mission.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field, such as education, business, human resources, counseling, psychology, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

2-3 years of relevant experience in program coordination, training delivery, recruiting, administrative support, or career development, preferably in a higher education or student services setting.
Experience supporting workshops, mentoring programs, events, or experiential learning initiatives, along with strong organizational and stakeholder engagement skills, is highly desirable.
