"FINANCIAL AID DIRECTOR"

Job Description

Rend Lake College seeks a full-time FINANCIAL AID DIRECTOR. This individual will:

• Manage all financial aid programs and records.
• Perform Return of Title IV funds.
• Process outside loans.
• Manage student employment programs.
• Recommend and implement college policies concerning financial aid.
• Provide students with information and applications processes for grants, loans, scholarships, and student employment.
• Perform Professional Judgements.
• Reconciliation of all financial aid programs with the Business Office and outside agencies.
• Manage the Common Origination Disbursement (COD) with the Department of Education.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Federal Title IV, Higher Education Act, FERPA, Privacy Act, and state regulatory laws.
• Complete various reports for internal and external uses.
• Prepare budget information.
• Complete Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP).
• Coordinate correspondence and other general office responsibilities.
• Counsel and determine the eligibility of financial aid candidates.
• Assist with recruitment and retention efforts on and off campus.
• Update and maintain the Financial Aid Policies and Procedures Manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in related field from an accredited institution required, Masters Degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in Financial Aid required, or combination of relevant education and experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required
• Strong computer skills required
• Supervisory experience a plus
• All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background check.

SALARY & BENEFITS

• $50,000 - $60,000 annually, or commensurate with education and experience.
