Southwestern College invites applications for Founding Principal Faculty positions in its developing Master of Science in Physician Associate Studies program. • Position Details- Hiring for Multiple positions
• Full-time, 12-month faculty appointment (tenure-track eligible)
• Part-time (0.5 FTE) positions
• In-person and remote positions available
• Reports to the Founding Program Director

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a course director and teach in didactic and/or clinical areas aligned with your expertise.
• Develop and maintain syllabi, instructional objectives, and student assessments.
• Evaluate student performance, provide academic counseling, and support remediation when needed.
• Collaborate in curriculum design, program evaluation, and accreditation activities in alignment with ARC-PA Standards.
• Assist in identifying and securing Supervised Clinical Practice Experience (SCPE) sites.
• Support admissions through applicant recruitment, review, and selection.
• Advise and mentor PA students throughout their training.
• Maintain clinical practice and ongoing professional development to ensure content relevance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant/Associate program.
• Master’s degree or higher preferred (strong clinical experience considered).
• Current NCCPA certification and eligibility for Kansas licensure.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time clinical experience.
• Prior teaching or educational experience preferred.
