Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a FUSE Student Researcher in Psychological Science on the Gainesville campus. This position will support the data collection and analysis of a study examining how weight stigma influences perceptions of competence and collaboration in white-collar women. Student researcher will assist with preparing study materials, cleaning and analyzing data, and contributing to the writing of a preliminary draft of a research manuscript and conference poster. Additional responsibilities include helping to refine study measures, reviewing AI-generated stimuli, and assisting with the preparation of materials for future studies in this research program. The research assistant will join the FUSE program to conduct focused and meaningful research, scholarly and creative activities alongside a faculty researcher from June 1 - July 24, 2026. This includes in-person workshops and group meetings once a week for the duration of the program.

Responsibilities
- Data cleaning and analysis.
- Writing draft of the introduction and method section of research manuscript.
- Preparing conference abstract and research poster.
- Reviewing Research Literature.
- Regular meetings with faculty supervisor.
- Creating conference-style abstracts, conference-style presentations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent writing skills preferred, familiar with SPSS preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current UNG student not graduating before December 2026.
Proposed Salary
$12.00 per hour
