Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following part-time temporary position: Global Programs Operations Assistant in the Center for Global Engagement.

Coastal Carolina University is seeking an engaging, global-minded and culturally aware individual to work as a part of our team in the Center for Global Engagement (CGE). The colleague in this position provides support to the broad range of operational and functional activities of the department, including but not limited to: international admissions processing, education abroad processing and advising, event planning and management, global initiatives event and activities, insurance and scholarships, reporting and monitoring, analysis and administrative processing support to help fulfill the mission of the department.

Requirements: High school diploma and related experience.

Preferred Requirements: Bachelors degree and at least one (1) year of related administrative experience. Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Familiarity with university administrative systems, technology platforms (e.g., TerraDotta, Slate, Sharepoint, Excel, etc.), or student information systems. Knowledge of international travel processes. Technical and Administrative Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Intercultural and Professional Skills: Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations; Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation; Ability to collaborate effectively within and across departments and with external partners; Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data and prepare reports; Strong organizational and critical thinking abilities; Resourcefulness in navigating complex administrative processes.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Supports the administration of education abroad programs, international admissions and international student services, international insurance, and global engagement through responding to communications, entering and processing data through established systems, gathering and reporting of data relative to projects of the department.
  2. Provides support for events and activities of the Center for Global Engagement in planning, promotion, and implementation while demonstrating attention to detail, critical thinking, collaboration, and effective data management.
  3. Demonstrates competency in data entry and processing and with MS Office tools and departmental technology platforms, ensuring accuracy to maintain data integrity to support effective and timely project contributions.
  4. Greets visitors and supports effective, courteous and timely response to students, staff, faculty, international partners, and visitors in support of the mission of the Center for Global Engagement.
