Job Description
Key responsibilities include generating grade rosters, processing final grades and changes, managing incomplete grades, enforcing repeating rules, and supporting end-of-term processing. This position is also responsible for directing the posting of grades, processes for grade changes, and managing the “incomplete” grade process. The Grading Coordinator is also responsible for communicating grading guidelines, deadlines, and procedures to faculty and staff in academic programs.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Considerable knowledge of the principles of higher education and/or state and federal degree program enrollment regulations.
- Considerable knowledge of FERPA and NSC regulations and processes.
- Considerable knowledge of university operational calendars and information flow regarding student records, biographical data and University policies and procedures.
- Exceptional skill in reviewing credentials and issuing verification documents; conducting educational-based research analyses, identifying problem areas, coordinating complex activities in support of student enrollment services, and promoting and evaluating statewide policies and assigned educational programs.
- Considerable skill in accuracy and attention to detail to respond and interact with diverse populations.
- Exceptional customer service skills in a student-centric environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to both work as part of a team and work autonomously when appropriate.
- Ability to apply knowledge of specialized enrollment program areas.
- Ability to learn essential aspects of a student information system( SIS ).
- Ability to use good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive issues.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and not be hindered by frequent interruptions.
- Ability to acknowledge errors in a timely and professional manner.
Level and type of experience
- Considerable experience performing independent action within guidelines.
- Considerable experience interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
- Considerable experience contacting the public; students; parents; schools; faculty; staff; financial institutions; national, state, and local organizations; and subject professionals to provide educational information and technical assistance.
Annual Salary/Hourly Rate
Salary range between $50,000 to $55,000
