"Group leader positions at ARCNL combined with faculty positions at VU Amsterdam"

Job Summary: Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the Advanced Research Center for Nanolithography (ARCNL) are seeking scientific group leaders to be appointed as assistant, associate, or full professors. The roles involve leading research programs aligned with ARCNL's focus on fundamental physics and materials research for nanolithography, in collaboration with ASML.

Responsibilities: Initiate a novel research program aligned with ASML and ARCNL challenges; establish collaboration with ASML; collaborate with other ARCNL groups; direct group members and supervise projects; manage budget, planning, and quality; publish in leading international journals; present at conferences; develop external relations; acquire funding; and contribute to teaching programs at VU Amsterdam.

Qualifications and Requirements: PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related discipline; working experience and scientific track record in atomic, molecular, plasma, or instrumental physics, materials sciences, or physical chemistry; enthusiasm to teach at university level with demonstrable didactic abilities; experience supervising BSc, MSc, and/or PhD students; ability to attract external funding; excellent communication and social skills; excellent command of English; and willingness to learn Dutch. Experience with industry-academia collaborations is an advantage.
