Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a HiQ Senior Adviser - Future Students and Service Points to join Student Engagement, Administrative Division.

The Senior Adviser is part of the HiQ Services Team, working in the Service Points and Future Students. The Senior Adviser is a supervisory role that will coach and motivate HiQ Advisers and Peer Concierges as they respond to enquiries from prospective and current students, staff, and members of the public. The Senior Adviser will also handle the more complex enquiries and troubleshoot/escalate further where necessary. The Senior Adviser plays a key role in the identification and delivery of process and quality improvements.

Student Engagement comprises of HiQ Contact Centre and Service Points, Future Student & Conversion, Engagement teams, and works closely with Sport. HiQ is the university’s contact point for members of the public, staff, prospective and current student enquiries and support services. Services to students and staff include general information, IT support, Library, and student administration. Engagement with future students and their orientation to the QUT student experience is a core focus of Student Engagement.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree, or subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  2. Demonstrated experience supervising a high performing team in a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-channel service delivery environment.
  3. Experience in effectively managing resources and workflow to support the delivery and continuous improvement of a quality service.
  4. Strong communications skills including the ability to resolve complex or sensitive customer service issues.
  5. Proven ability to build effective relationships with staff, colleagues, and other service partners across the university.
