Job Description
Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This role is key to providing top-notch support to our Facilities Management department while we service the ever-changing needs for facility maintenance, utilities, landscape & grounds, and custodial services.
Duties:
- Assumes day-to-day responsibility for organizing and coordinating human resource functions
- Supports the coordination and execution of employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and specialized HR projects
- Coordinates and oversees the full onboarding and orientation process for new employees
- Assists with employee relation matters, such as positive discipline and investigations
- Serves on departmental committees and occasionally acting as a liaison with university departments on HR-related matters
- Updates department procedures for a more efficient operation when necessary
- Establishes and maintains filing systems including confidential documents
- Supervises and trains staff
- Assist with the design of departmental programs.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, AND:
- 12 months office, clerical, or administrative experience.
Skills:
- Basic math skills
- Advanced computer skills with wide knowledge of business software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
- Excellent customer service
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Department Preferences:
- Previous human resources experience
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field
