This position is designed to support entrepreneurship education in the arts and other fields, supporting efforts in both the Conservatory and the Bloch School of Management.

Job Description
UMKC's Henry W. Bloch School of Management and Conservatory are seeking applications for an unranked instructor position (non-tenure track) from outstanding candidates with expertise in entrepreneurship in the arts and other areas. The candidate selected for this position will teach a range of courses that support both the Bloch School of Management and Conservatory. The selected candidate will report to the Department Chair for the Department of Entrepreneurship and Management in the Bloch School of Management.
This is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment Initial appointment for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Qualifications
- MBA or related graduate degree (including a PhD or DBA) where the business school is accredited by AACSB or EQUIS with significant coursework in areas related to expected teaching assignments.
- For candidates with a master's degree, at least 5 years of professional experience in areas related to expected teaching assignments.
- Experience, professional engagement, and/or research and publications must allow for candidate to meet AACSB faculty qualifications.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate competencies critical for instructional effectiveness, the ability to address the needs of students from across a broad portfolio of programs and from different backgrounds, and the capacity to utilize different teaching modalities.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate outreach capabilities and competencies relating to the design and delivery of co-curricular programming.
Anticipated Hiring Range
This is an unranked Instructor position and salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience and evidence of success in publications and research.
