Instructor of Anthropology, Part-Time, Non-Tenure-Track (Pool Posting)
Ohio University is seeking applications for temporary, part-time Instructor positions in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology. Potential courses include undergraduate sections of Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (ANTH 1010), Introduction to Biological Anthropology (ANTH 2010), or Introduction to World Archaeology (ANTH 2020). These courses may be taught online or on campuses including Athens, Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Pickerington, Proctorville, Southern, or Zanesville.
On-campus instruction requires three hours of in-class instruction per class per week and an additional hour per week for office hours. Please indicate availability in your cover letter.
Minimum Qualifications: ABD in Anthropology or a closely related field at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Anthropology or a closely related field; experience as an independent instructor at the university level; focus of degree or training in the subfield to be taught; evidence of teaching effectiveness.
