Instructor of Political Science and Assistant Director of Honors Programs
Position Summary
The Department of Political Science at the Stern College for Women and Yeshiva College invites applications for an Instructor of Political Science and Assistant Director of Honors Programs. The Instructor of Political Science will teach courses in his/her specialty at both Stern College and Yeshiva College. The Assistant Director of Honors Programs will aid the Director in planning, organizing, and executing programming and operations related to the Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Honors Program at Yeshiva College and the S. Daniel Abraham Honors Program at Stern College for Women.
Position Responsibilities
- Teach 15 contact hours per year in Political Science
- Participate in Political Science departmental planning and curricular assessment
- Mentor students in both the Political Science major/minor and the Honors programs
- Assist the Honor's Director in operations related to all aspects of the Honor's program, including but not limited to: Event planning, thesis review, course offering planning, admissions review, and annual report generation
Experience & Education Background
- Ph.D. In Political Science or a closely related field
- One or more years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level
Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrated successful teaching at the undergraduate level
- Highly organized
- Ability to manage several simultaneous projects
- Familiarity with the Canvas LMS system and the Microsoft 365 suite of applications

Salary Range
