Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Certification in Welding from an accredited Institution and 3 years of experience in the welding industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in a Welding-related field from an accredited institution and 3+ years working in the welding industry. Experience teaching/mentoring welding in any setting. Teaching online, hybrid, or in person classes at the college or high school level.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide classroom instruction in Welding and Fabrication.
• Ability to provide classroom instruction in machining technology.
• Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
• Collaborate with colleagues on course and program development as well as transfer course review.
• Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide committees.
• At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

The Salary for this position is $53,000.00. This is a 10-month position (151 workdays). In addition to the baseline salary, there is the potential for additional compensation through voluntary overload teaching.
