Part - Time Instructor, Air Conditioning Technology - FY 2026
Job Description
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Part-Time Instructor Responsibilities:
- Lecture and Lab instruction for Air Conditioning Technology Courses
- Develop Syllabi, Lesson Plans, and course materials in conjunction with Lead Faculty
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
- Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
Required Qualifications
- Background and experience in courses taught
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- Current HVAC Excellence, NATE or ICE certifications
- 10 years of service experience in the Air Conditioning Industry
- Knowledgeable in Residential & Commercial Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Gas Furnaces, Essential Plant Operations, and Building Systems Operations
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act effectively as a member of a team
- Self-starter, creative, goal-oriented and organized
- AAS in Air Conditioning Technology or similar
- Experience teaching in a community college setting
- Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
- Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
Schedule: Course assignments may be day, evening and/or weekend classes
Starting: $925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
