IT Business Analyst 2
Job Purpose
The IT Business Analyst 2 supports Facilities Operations by assisting with the use, improvement, and adoption of enterprise business systems, with a primary focus on the Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform. The role combines system support, reporting, and training with relationship-building across operational units to ensure technology effectively supports daily work. A key responsibility is helping users understand how workflows and processes connect across the organization, enabling more efficient operations and stronger collaboration.

Core Duties
- Provide functional support for enterprise work management systems (e.g., Maximo), including troubleshooting user issues, validating system behavior, and escalating technical matters as appropriate.
- Translate business and operational processes into documented system requirements that support enhancements, configuration changes, and workflow improvements.
- Analyze system usage, workflow performance, and business needs to identify inefficiencies, data gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to review functional designs, recommend practical solutions, and resolve system-related issues.
- Plan, execute, and document testing of system upgrades, patches, and enhancements; develop test cases and communicate impacts to users.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data sets that support operational performance tracking, data accuracy, and decision-making.
- Create and deliver training materials, job aids, and workshops that support system adoption and reinforce standard workflows.
- Build strong working relationships with planners, schedulers, supervisors, and frontline teams to understand operational needs and provide responsive system support.
- Serve as a functional liaison between operational teams and technical partners to ensure system solutions align with business goals.
- Identify process gaps, data quality issues, and workflow breakdowns; recommend and support solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
- Support the implementation and rollout of new or modified system functionality, including communication, training, and post-implementation support.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, charts/visuals), with the ability to turn raw data into meaningful insights; experience with SQL or similar query tools is a plus.
- Other duties may also be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of business processes, workflows, and enterprise applications (experience with Maximo or other EAM systems preferred).
- Understanding of database-driven applications, data structures, and reporting tools.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, charts/visuals), with the ability to turn raw data into meaningful insights; experience with SQL or similar query tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated technical curiosity, with the confidence to explore system features, test configurations, and navigate complex tools independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships with planners, schedulers, trade shops, and other business units.
- Ability to deliver patient, clear, and accessible training to users with varying levels of technical comfort.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset, with the ability to understand how tasks, workflows, and data connect across functions and how changes impact downstream processes.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to track metrics, maintain documentation, and follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive, resourceful problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions without requiring constant direction.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment and adapt quickly to shifting needs.

The expected pay range for this position is $125,557 to $154,213 per annum.
