We are accepting applications for potential openings at Kids on Campus for the 2025-2026 academic year. The need for these positions is dependent upon operational needs including enrollment and staffing. We anticipate openings at every school. When a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting. these are grant-funded positions.

Positions work at our afterschool sites located off the Ohio University campus and/or virtual work. Potential work sites include:
- Belpre Middle/High School in Belpre, OH
- Eastern Local Schools in Reedsville, OH
- Federal Hocking Secondary School is Stewart, OH
- Nelsonville-York City Schools in Buchtel, OH
- Millcreek Elementary in Corning, OH

These are grant-funded positions.
Afterschool teachers plan and implement activities during the afterschool program. They develop lesson plans using Common Core Math and Literacy standards. They collect and review relevant Math and Literacy assessment data. They act as a liaison between the school day and afterschool programs to assure alignment with school day curriculum. These positions fulfill the certified teacher requirement for our grantor.
These positions pay $19.00 per hour and can work up to 14 hours per week, (including planning time), depending on site needs and applicant availability. Successful applicants will work with site supervisors to arrange a weekly schedule.
Position Profile
Provides care and education to children. Provides support to families on early childhood education best practices. Supervises child care center activities.
Level Summary
Manages and resolves complex and ambiguous issues. Works on both strategic and operational challenges, addressing problems that require advanced knowledge and experience. Often takes on leadership roles in projects or initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides mentorship and guidance to team. Infrequently has a limited number of direct reports.

May have budgetary responsibility for small-scale projects or initiatives.

Physical Requirements
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
In accordance with Federal Grant requirements, candidates must also pass an Ohio Department of Children and Youth background check and complete a physical examination provided by their physician.
