About This Opportunity
Join the Australian Frailty Network (AFN) as a Knowledge Translation (KT) Project Officer and play a pivotal role in ensuring research makes a real-world difference. You’ll design and deliver knowledge translation strategies, foster strong partnerships, and help embed evidence-based practices into health and community settings—all contributing to AFN’s vision of helping Australians age well.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead knowledge translation initiatives—coordinate AFN’s KT activities, including the delivery of the annual scientific summit and other flagship projects.
- Develop and implement KT plans—design project frameworks, ensure compliance with timelines and methodologies, and monitor progress against deliverables.
- Drive stakeholder engagement—build strong relationships with internal and external partners, and coordinate education sessions, events, and engagement activities.
- Produce high-quality documentation—prepare project plans, reports, evaluation tools, communication materials, and resources to support knowledge sharing.
- Provide advice and support—contribute subject matter expertise and project management guidance to strengthen AFN’s impact and reach.
About You
- A relevant bachelor’s degree with substantial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional expertise.
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate and deliver projects, with strong skills in prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and resolving issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement in interpreting complex situations and providing accurate advice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Experience in media, marketing or business strategies that enhance research impact and reach.
