About the Role:

Are you passionate about helping students to develop the skills they need to succeed? Do you have a desire to work in a dynamic and friendly team environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking a Learning Success Advisor to join our innovative and dedicated University Library team. As a Learning Success Advisor, you will have the opportunity to connect with students, on campus and online, helping them to develop their academic, digital and information literacy. You will work collaboratively with the Learning Success team to develop and deliver services that suit a wide range of learning styles.

This is a full-time fixed term role until December 2026, with a salary range between $96,323 - $102,186 (G06) per annum. Part time and job share arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide support to clients using appropriate technologies.
  • Lead, plan, deliver and evaluate skills programs and materials to support the development of graduate capabilities by Curtin students.
  • Facilitate skills development through the development and presentation of targeted workshops and programs.
  • Train, co-ordinate and supervise staff as required.
  • Support creative and digital skills development by supporting programs and services in the Library’s Makerspace.
  • Lead or contribute to Library initiatives, team planning, working parties and teams.
  • Streamline workflows to ensure ongoing efficiencies as a continuous improvement outcome.
  • Effectively communicate and promote Library services.
  • Engage with and report on the potential of new services and emerging technologies including Generative Artificial Intelligence to meet client needs.

Who we are looking for (selection criteria):

  • Completion of a relevant degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of diverse groups and individuals.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well within a team situation and the ability to co-ordinate team activities or project work.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and flexibly in a changing environment; manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high quality, client focussed services and innovative problem solving.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience working within a library (Desirable)
  • Experience delivering programs within an education setting (Desirable)

Role Requirements:

  1. As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
