Position Overview

Associated Faculty in Art will teach two classes in the fall and two classes in the spring, which will be studio-based art courses. Must be able to teach freehand drawing techniques with a range of drawing methods, media and concepts. Must be able to apply written, oral, and visual communication skills and interpret and grade student work.

During the fall the course load will be Art 3004 (Life Drawing) which takes place Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:05-5:55pm and Art 3104 (Expanded Drawing) which takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:55-6:40pm. Two classes in the spring will be determined by the unit.

Performance Objectives

Help students achieve the following goals:

• Conceptualize and build artwork in a project-based learning environment
• Explore materiality and construction techniques in pursuing their projects
• Lead in-class-critiques

Education and Experience Requirements

Required: MFA in Fine Art and teaching experience.

Desired: Exhibition record in the field of Art.
