The College of Arts & Media, Department of Music & Entertainment Industry Studies is currently seeking applications for multiple lecturers in the areas of voice, singer-songwriter voice, percussion/drums, piano, theory, ear-training, music business, and recording arts. Candidates hired from this pool will fill temporary, non-tenure track positions and will teach no more than two courses per semester. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester, depending on the needs of the department...

Lecturers in the department must conduct college-level courses in music & performance related fields. Lecturers are responsible for the preparation and scheduling of weekly applied lessons, and to prepare students for performance juries and recitals.

Salary and Benefits: Salary is set at $5,150 (for a standard 3-credit course). The University of Colorado offers a full benefits package. Benefits | Total Compensation Calculator

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
* Master's degree in related music or music performance field.
* Significant professional industry experience may substitute for the degree.

Preferred Requirements:
* Experience teaching in a higher education environment. Experience in online education preferable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidates should have knowledge in one of the four degree areas of the department (music business, recording arts, singer/songwriter and performance) with an area of specialization within these disciplines...
