Lecturer in Fine Art
The Role
Kingston School of Art is recruiting a part-time Lecturer in Fine Art.
You will join a dynamic academic community, working closely with students and staff in a supportive and student-centred environment. You will provide tutorials and deliver teaching across the MFA Fine Art and BA Fine Art programmes.
Your teaching will be informed by your specialist artistic practice and your research will contribute to the School’s wider research culture. Drawing on your sector experience and using a range of teaching approaches and digital tools, you will help deliver a Fine Art education that is critically engaged and responsive to contemporary artistic, cultural and professional contexts.
The Person
You will hold a relevant postgraduate qualification and show a commitment to developing your professional and pedagogic practice.
You will be a practising artist with a growing national and international profile and network, strong knowledge of contemporary art practice and theory and experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
We are particularly keen to hear from artists working in sculpture, film and video and digital media.
Further Information
This is a part-time (18.5 hours per week) 16-month fixed term role with a starting salary of £22,512.50 (50% of £45,025 per annum).
