Lecturer in Journalism (Sports Journalism and Innovation)
The Journalism Program at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for JOUR 45A: Sports Journalism and Innovation, a four-credit course to be offered in Fall 2026. This course is designed to equip students with the skills in writing, reporting and innovation to be able to craft meaningful stories about sports and its place in society, and to produce work across multiple platforms.
Candidates who have all of the following qualifications will be given preference: extensive leadership experience in sports journalism on a national level; an award-winning body of work as a sports journalist; a track record as an entrepreneurial leader who has successfully pushed innovation through newsrooms, especially those at legacy institutions; and a Bachelor’s degree.

This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
The compensation for this course is $8764.20.
