The Gary W. Rollins College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites applications for a non-tenure-track, nine-month renewable lecturer position in Marketing beginning August 1, 2026. Responsibilities include teaching twelve credit hours per semester (four courses), and a strong commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence. Service assignments and/or committee work for the department, college, and/or university will also be required. This Marketing faculty member is expected to support the Rollins College of Business and UTC’s efforts and focus in sales education, including the newly announced John “Art” Phillips Sales Institute, and events and programs on campus and in the business Chattanooga community.
The Gary W. Rollins College of Business (RCOB) at UTC has long-standing AACSB accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, serves approximately 2,400 students, and has a highly productive, collegial faculty.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Marketing, or a master’s degree in a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution. Applicants should have demonstrated ability to provide quality instruction through a variety of teaching and delivery modalities. Initial teaching responsibilities will include courses across our growing Professional Sales curriculum. Applicants should have at least five years of current professional and/or managerial experience related to the primary teaching area (sales) outlined above. Other courses may be assigned based on departmental or college need. Other opportunities may evolve over time for this position within the John “Art” Phillips Sales Institute.
