Job Duties:

The Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management in the College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a Lecturer (Lecturer, TL020).

The Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is seeking a highly motivated professional in operations and supply chain management for a lecturer position. This is a full-time, renewable nine-month appointment commencing in January 2026. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Areas of teaching may include undergraduate courses in operations and supply chain management, depending on the department's needs. The teaching load is four classes per semester. Office hours and service commitments are also required.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teaching four undergraduate courses per semester and providing service to the department and the college. On-campus and online teaching are both possible. Service may include committee work and/or student organization advising. Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance

Department: Information Technology and Supply Chain Management

Compensation: The minimum starting salary for this position will be $70,000, candidates can expect a salary commensurate with the candidate's education, related experience, and qualifications. Required Qualifications:

  • M.B.A. from an AACSB-accredited institution or a Master's degree related to the field of teaching
  • Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in operations and supply chain management
  • Professional experience in the field of teaching

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Willingness and ability to actively follow applicable safety rules and regulations, including necessary training and drills
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
