LEO Lecturer I - MCDB 421 - WN26
The Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology is seeking applications for a 33.3% LEO Lecturer I position teaching a section of MCDB 421, Topics in Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology. As instructor of record for a section of MCDB 421, you will be responsible for teaching a full semester seminar course to advanced undergraduates. Your role will include creating and teaching the course content, communicating with students, and student evaluation. The appointment is for Winter Term 2026 only (January 7-April 21).
Terms and conditions of employment for this position as posted are subject to the provisions of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers Employee Organization. This position is appropriate for current postdoctoral fellows to combine with a 66.7% research appointment in their current laboratories.
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biology or a closely related field. Qualified candidates should be fluent in the area of expertise, demonstrate a need for teaching experience to meet their career development goals, and have performed recent experimental research in the area they propose for their MCDB 421 topic.

The appointment opportunity has been approved by the academic unit, Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
