"Lifeguard"

Reporting to the assigned campus leader, the Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons and assists with aquatic programs and pool operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safeguards and regulates conduct of pool patrons, while enforcing pool policies, rules, and regulations
• Rescues patrons and performs appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid
• Maintains appropriate records, including participating in the preparation of daily records, providing written reports on all accidents, and maintaining proper updated safety requirements
• Conducts patron swimming test to assess ability to swim independently and unattended while providing customer service to patrons, including handling customer conflict and complaints, as necessary
• Performs work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures, including operating equipment safely and reporting any unsafe work conditions or practice to supervisor; attends in-service training and instructs certain skills to staff
• Maintains equipment and materials used within the department
• Maintains room in clean, orderly manner and provides strict security and accountability

Service Excellence

Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the work site. Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC). Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College.

Supervision

Works under the general supervision of the assigned campus leader.

Performs Other Related Tasks as Required.
