Duties & Responsibilities:
The Mailroom Supervisor is ultimately responsible for the distribution of delivered mail and packages to all Residential Life and Housing buildings through the management and coordination of all staff, functions, and activities involved with first-class mail, package processing, and package distribution. The primary outcome expected from this position is to ensure the successful management and delivery of mail and packages while working with other areas within Residential Life and Housing, University Mail Services, and stakeholders such as USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL to ensure the highest level of comprehensive mail services.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented organization.
- Supervisory experience.
- Ability to work effectively with professional and non-professional personnel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituents, both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in multiple software platforms, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and have the ability to evaluate technologies for best practices.
- Capacity to quickly learn new software programs as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to analyze and solve problems
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4-7 years of experience in an educational setting
- VCU systems and process knowledge
- Keen sense of when to refer things higher
Salary Range: $50,000 - 52,000
FLSA Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Hours per Week: 40

Flexible Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
