Limited-Term Faculty Position in Nursing
The Faculty of Health Sciences at Western University seeks a dedicated educator to join the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing. With over a 100-year history of academic and research excellence, the School offers academic programs in nursing at undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels.
This is a 2-year Limited-Term position. Compensation and rank (Lecturer or Assistant Professor) will be commensurate with educational qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will support the evidence-based development and delivery of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) graduate program and undergraduate programs in nursing. Responsibilities include classroom teaching and service to the School, Faculty, University, and profession.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of adult learning principles; a learner-centered philosophy of teaching; teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels; recent nursing practice; and clinical teaching experience. They will also contribute to an inclusive and diverse academic community. Knowledge of flexible and simulated learning environments is an asset. Applicants must be Registered Nurses in the extended class (NPs) with a current license from the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a minimum Master’s degree in Nursing.
Western University is one of Canada’s leading research-intensive universities, located in London, Ontario. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2026 or as negotiated.
