Position Highlights
As a member of the Room and Course Scheduling team, the Manager of Class Scheduling will provide excellent service and issue resolution for academic departments, faculty, staff, and students. The Manager, Class Scheduling will be an expert in and provide support for planning and oversight of class and event scheduling while managing the Room and Course Scheduling Specialists and student-worker staff ensuring high quality standards.
The office of the Registrar is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the academic record. Serving all students, faculty, academic units, and student support functions; the Office is charged with the implementation of academic and student policies and their alignment to state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. The office strives to be a leader and thought partner in creating efficient processes that are designed in a way that supports student success and service excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Room and Course Scheduling (RCS) Customer Service Unit, including analyzing, processing, and delegating incoming requests via CRM and phone.
- Distribute work and projects according to sensitivity and complexity among self, professional staff, and student staff to ensure efficient issue resolution.
- Oversee the Office of the Registrar Modern Languages front desk and phone operations during business hours.
- Supervise 1-2 professional Academic Records Specialists.
- Supervise a team of 10-20 student workers.
- Handle hiring, termination, training, development, scheduling, performance reviews, and corrective action for student staff.
- Conduct bi-weekly audits of student staff-completed Schedule of Classes changes.
- Lead staff training on the creation, management, and maintenance of the Schedule of Classes.
- Develop long-term Schedule of Classes management plans using best practices and scheduling standards.
- Provide strategic support to departments in creating sustainable Schedule of Classes management processes requiring innovation and creativity.
- Work closely with the Assistant Registrar to plan and manage Schedule of Classes and academic/non-academic event activities in Ad Astra and PeopleSoft/UAccess.
- Create reports comparing data across UAccess Student and Ad Astra systems.
- Create and update technical and non-technical documentation for internal and external use.
- Apply extensive knowledge of Room and Course Scheduling functions to support Office of the Registrar process and system improvements.

- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
