Remuneration: $169,373 to $189,440 pa (HEW10) (inclusive of $143,122 to $160,079 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Manager, Digital Systems to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.

The Manager, Digital Systems is a senior leadership role within the Student and Stakeholder Engagement (SSE) portfolio, in Digital Business Solutions (DBS). This role is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational performance, and continuous improvement of QUT’s digital experience platforms, including web, mobile, CRM, SaaS applications, and vendor-supported services. With a strong focus on innovation and digital transformation, the Manager oversees a multi-disciplinary team of developers, analysts, and support professionals to deliver seamless, personalised, and scalable digital experiences for students and stakeholders. The role plays a key part in shaping QUT’s future digital landscape, including the ongoing adoption of Salesforce across new capabilities, the implementation of emerging technologies, and the delivery of major digital experience transformation projects. The role works closely with SSE leadership, technical architects, and executive stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into actionable digital outcomes. This includes contributing to technical roadmaps, representing SSE in governance and project forums, and fostering strong relationships with internal clients and external partners. This position reports to the Associate Director, Student and Stakeholder Engagement for career planning, development, and performance expectations.

What you need to succeed

Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications, combined with extensive experience in digital platform management, application support, or technical leadership within a complex organisational environment.
Proven leadership ability with experience in building and maintaining a high-performing, inclusive team culture focused on innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and judgement in developing digital solutions, technical roadmaps, and vendor partnerships that enhance business performance and user experience, within budget and resource constraints.
Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups, including executive clients, technical teams, and vendors.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence, consult, and collaborate across organisational boundaries and represent the SSE portfolio in governance and strategic forums.
Proven success in leading or contributing to digital transformation initiatives, including the implementation of emerging technologies, platform optimisation, and cross-functional project delivery.
Familiarity with agile delivery models, continuous integration practices, and vendor-supported service environments.
High-level analytical and reporting skills, including the ability to interpret performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
