Manager, Event Center Marketing & Sales
The Event Center Manager for Marketing and Sales works under the supervision of the Event Center Executive Director to provide support and oversight for all aspects of marketing and sales plans for the EECU Center. This position is responsible for driving revenue through strategic marketing and sales of venue spaces and related assets.
The manager leads the development and execution of marketing initiatives that enhance the Center’s visibility, attract user groups, and promote event bookings. Serving as the facility’s primary sales representative, the manager builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including regional hospitality organizations. Key responsibilities include managing promotional campaigns, creating content for digital and print platforms, overseeing social media and website updates, and tracking campaign performance. The role also supports budget planning, reporting, and logistical coordination for marketing events, all aimed at maximizing facility usage and long-term growth.
Position is in Stephenville, Texas with normal work hours of Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm or as work requirements indicate which may include the ability to work flexible hours and extended schedules to support events. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of all Marketing and Sales programs and activities for the EECU Center.
- Assist in all aspects of Marketing and Sales plans.
- Track and manage daily, weekly, monthly Marketing and Sales reports.
- Represents the facility as a sales representative and coordinates strategic planning and development with other university stakeholders.
- Contacts prospective user groups and individuals to initiate the sales effort.
- Assists in developing and implementing the Marketing and Sales activities of the facility including developing budget submissions and follow-through systems and procedures.
- Meets specified goals and objectives for facility usage.
- Fosters coordinated sales efforts with other members of the region’s hospitality industry and maintains effective relations with representatives of local user groups.
- Communicates problems and proposed solutions to management/supervisor.
- Designs and creates Marketing and Sales materials.
- Manage promotional giveaways including research, vendor relations, creative input, ordering, and fulfillment of all giveaway items.
- Serve as logistical lead on marketing event coordination.
- Assist with developing and achieving marketing initiative for EECU Center.
- Create content and update the EECU Center’s social media accounts and venue website.
- Track results of all Sales and Marketing campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong management, motivational, & organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of fundraising, public relations, marketing, and/or sales.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively and harmoniously with others.
- Problem-solving skills, creativity, positivity, and the ability to manage several assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated record of establishing effective working relationships, both internal and external to the organization.

- Ability to communicate effectively and articulately in both oral and written communication, while taking into account multiple perspectives and competing interests.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
- Knowledge of Public relations, including writing press releases, and conducting interviews.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
- Graphic design/illustration skills.
- Competent in all digital and print marketing avenues.
- Knowledge of marketing and advertising/sponsorship program development.
- Ability to work flexible hours and extended schedules to support events and duties that take place outside the normal operating hours.
