Position Highlights
The Marketing Coordinator at the University of Arizona plays a key role in supporting strategic marketing and communications initiatives and campus-wide engagement. Reporting to the Content Director on the Campus Brand Engagement team, this position coordinates activities within the "ONE Ecosystem" - a university-wide network that strengthens collaboration and shared standards for marketing and communications professionals. The ONE MarCom professional development program provides strategic toolkits, planning templates, a shared knowledge base, monthly learning sessions, and the annual ONE Conference, serving 300+ campus professionals. Programming is guided by participant feedback and aligned with university priorities.
In addition, the Marketing Coordinator supports the production and distribution of branded assets and resources through the ONE Ecosystem SharePoint, the internal platform for MarCom document management and collaboration. This role fosters effective communication and project management to support the university's strategic vision, including brand alignment and the execution of marketing strategies, tools, and resources in partnership with University Brand Development and college and unit teams.
This position is based on the University of Arizona's main campus in Tucson, AZ and requires collaboration with various departments and teams across the university. Occasional travel may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities
ONE Ecosystem Stewardship:
- Help coordinate and support engagement efforts within the ONE Ecosystem, ensuring networking events and communications foster collaboration, provide strategic tools, and promote professional development for marketing and communications staff across campus.
- Coordinate and assist with monthly workshops and training sessions and assist with the annual ONE Conference to empower marketing teams across campus.
- Draft and post regular articles on our internal marcom digital workplace, SharePoint, linking to new or improved marketing and communication resources, best practices, graphic and messaging toolkits, calendar events, meeting recordings, and collaboration opportunities with clear guidelines to support brand alignment across the university.
- Write and distribute monthly ONE Emails to campus colleagues using the university's enterprise communications platform, Trellis Marketing Cloud.
- Evaluate digital analytics of the ONE Ecosystem SharePoint and ONE Emails to support recommendations and actions that improve campaign performance, as well as campus adoption of resources and tools provided.
- Coordinate the creative production, editing, completion and distribution of annual toolkits (such as the retention toolkit) by assisting with the development of strategic project briefs or change orders, then working cohesively with project management and creative teams.
Project Management:
- Collaborate closely with the Content Director and Executive Director of Campus Brand Engagement, as well as central communications and other marcom colleagues across the university, to support cohesive messaging and alignment with the university's branding across assets and resources developed for campus use.
- Work in partnership with the Brand Development, Brand Storytelling and Creative, Digital, Communications, and Project Management teams to support the coordination and execution of marcom projects from concept to completion, including contributing to workflow processes and resource coordination.
- Under the supervision of the Content Director, support project coordination for the Brand Development team, which manages and protects the university's intellectual property, while making it accessible to the Wildcat community through clear usage guidelines, strategic partnerships and collaborations such as Galaxy Slam, Operation Hat Trick and Bear Down 100.
Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with college and unit marketing and communications leaders, promoting collaboration and shared goals across the university.
- Support and facilitate connections within the ONE Ecosystem to enhance communication, knowledge sharing, and career development across teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a clear understanding of marketing principles.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), CMS (e.g., Drupal, SharePoint), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships and support stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in project coordination and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively, contribute to team efforts, promoting a culture of innovation.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education marketing, as well as event planning and organization.
