Marketing, Sales, & Publicity Director
Job Summary
The University of South Carolina Press seeks a full-time Marketing, Sales, and Publicity Director to oversee all aspects of marketing, sales, and publicity for approximately 35 new print and digital books each year, as well as a backlist of more than 1,200 titles.
Primary responsibilities include creating and executing marketing, sales, and publicity strategies; driving sales growth; managing relationships with partners; forecasting sales; and managing department staff.
Key Duties
- Create, execute, and oversee marketing, sales, and publicity strategies.
- Develop and implement plans for advertising, social media, and publicity.
- Drive sales growth and maintain relationships with retailers and distributors.
- Track sales performance and manage budgets.
- Manage staff and serve on committees.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience.
Preferred: Experience in publishing or higher education; strong communication and leadership skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $65,539 - $75,000 annually. Benefits include health insurance, retirement programs, paid leave, and professional development opportunities.
