Pay Range: Compensation for this position is expected to range between $24.04 and $26.44 per hour, in alignment with what California Baptist University (CBU) reasonably anticipates paying for this role. The final rate may vary depending on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and prevailing market conditions. Position Summary: The position delivers marketing services that support California Baptist University (CBU) enrollment initiatives. Responsibilities include managing accounts and coordinating advertising across multiple channels, including email, direct mail, online, print, broadcast, as well as indoor/outdoor signage, displays, and promotional materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support supervisors and admissions directors in the planning, development, and execution of enrollment marketing and communication projects, campaigns, and systems.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while upholding high standards of quality, adherence to university guidelines, and a collaborative, positive attitude.
- Meet established deadlines and proactively notify the supervisor if timelines are at risk.
- Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and marketing automation tools to maintain and update marketing campaigns.
- Design and update digital assets for email communications and web content.
- Develop engaging content for various marketing materials and platforms.
- Oversee promotional product inventory to ensure availability and proper usage.
- Stay informed on current marketing trends and best practices to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Coordinate with external vendors to fulfill marketing and communication needs.
- Participate in discovery meetings with clients to define project scope and objectives.
- Collaborate with university stakeholders on concurrent projects to ensure alignment and success.
- Create innovative promotions and events aimed at increasing brand awareness and enrollment.
- Demonstrate the division’s commitment to service, excellence, humility, and dignity in all interactions with internal clients and external partners.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc.)
- Working knowledge of HTML
- Strong creative thinking skills with the ability to turn ideas into actionable solutions
- Familiarity with project management software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities, flexibility, and a customer-focused approach
- Understanding of ordering processes and inventory control for supplies and promotional materials
- Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of the marketing lifecycle, including strategy, design, production, and performance measurement
Technical Skills & Proficiencies: Account Management, Project Management, Copywriting, Marketing Terminology, CRM Platforms (e.g., Salesforce), Marketing Automation Tools (e.g., Pardot), Email Marketing, Graphic Design & Photography
Software Competencies: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Web Browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc.), Adobe Creative Cloud, Prezi
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires regular standing, walking, and sitting, along with sufficient hand and finger dexterity to operate computers and office equipment. Visual acuity is necessary for reading and data entry, and clear communication skills—both verbal and auditory—are essential for in-person and phone interactions. The role may occasionally involve lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds and light physical activity, including brief periods of standing or walking. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is primarily performed in a standard office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. While most duties occur indoors under typical conditions, occasional tasks may require adherence to standard safety procedures. In rare instances, work may involve exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, or loud noises.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university; or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated success in a role requiring strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
