General Summary

Odessa College Continuing Education is currently looking for a Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor. The position teaches coursework in massage therapy, including lectures and practicals. Be a dynamic massage therapist instructor, with the ability to reach students. This position is part-time with up to 19 hours per week. Duration of program is 9 months; Classroom MTWTH 6pm-10pm; there is an online component to this course; Clinical Internship Sat 8am-5pm, participation in community events may be required

Specific Position Duties

• Teach massage therapy coursework – all curriculum – at a variety of dates and times.
• Ability to communicate effectively and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop effective strategies to enhance student learning.
• Follow a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Assist the Health Careers Directors with duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Massage Therapist Instructor in Texas
• Licensed Massage Therapist in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

Three (3) years teaching experience.
