The Opportunity

Leverage your passion for data to tell compelling stories and empower strategic decisions as a Data and Reporting Analyst within our People and Culture team. In this role, you will harness data to drive meaningful change and enhance the effectiveness of our human resources practices. You will analyse workforce data, create insightful reports, and provide actionable recommendations that support key initiatives in recruitment, retention, employee engagement, organisational development, and Diversity and Inclusion. You will

  • lead the creation and execution of both cyclical and ad-hoc People and Culture reports, driving insightful outcomes and strategic decisions;
  • offer expert guidance to stakeholders on a diverse range of People and Culture reporting matters, including in-depth analysis of reporting outcomes and findings; and
  • ensure adherence to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and best practices.

About you

We are looking for a talented and experienced Data and Reporting Analyst to join our vibrant People and Culture team. In this role, you'll showcase your exceptional data management skills and adeptly handle competing resources and priorities, all while driving continuous improvement and professional growth. Your excellent communication and interpersonal abilities will allow you to build strong, constructive relationships and effectively negotiate and collaborate with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders, both within and beyond the higher education sector.

You will possess:

  • Proficiency in HR Management Systems and reporting tools, with experience in PeopleSoft advantageous. 
  • Proven expertise in data management and communication, adept at juggling competing resources and priorities while fostering individual performance and growth.
  • Strong understanding of the legislative landscape related to staff management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and provide strategic advice to Executive and senior staff, as well as external stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing institutional reporting systems to drive informed decision making, including expertise in data extraction tools such as SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
